On Sunday, Akshay Kumar and Sidharth Malhotra’s sports drama film ‘Brothers,’ starring Akshay Kumar and Sidharth Malhotra, did turn seven. The film’s creators took to Instagram and posted a photo with the caption, “A fight for love.” A struggle for love. A struggle for the family! #7YearsOfBrothers.”

The film, directed by Karan Malhotra and starring Jacqueline Fernandez and Jackie Shroff, was based on Mixed Martial Arts (MMA). The movie was a Hindi remake of the 2011 American film ‘Warrior.’ For the first time, Akshay and Sidharth worked together in this sports action thriller, where they played stepbrothers competing in an MMA competition held for the first time in the country.

The film, produced by Karan Johar, was declared a semi-hit and received mixed reviews from both audiences and critics. Meanwhile, Akshay is publicising his newly released film ‘Raksha Bandhan,’ which has received conflicting opinions from netizens.

He then will appear in ‘Ram Setu,’ along with Jacqueline Fernandez and Nushratt Bharuccha, which is scheduled to be released on Diwali 2022. Aside from that, he has ‘Gorkha,’ two untitled films from Pooja Entertainment, ‘OMG 2’ with Pankaj Tripathi, ‘Selfie’ with Emraan Hashmi, Diana Penty, and Nushrratt Bharuccha, ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ with Tiger Shroff and a formal Hindi relaunch of the south film ‘Soorarai Pottru.’
