Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers: Sidharth Shukla’s family as they request for some privacy

Late actor Sidharth Shukla’s family expressed their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has been a part of the Sidharth’s journey in an official statement released on 6th September. This is the first official statement released by the family after actor’s demise on September 2. The grieving family requested for privacy and added that the late actor now resides in their hearts forever.

“Heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has been a part of Sidharth’s journey and showered him with unconditional love. It definitely doesn’t end here as he now resides in our hearts forever! Sidharth valued his privacy, hence we request you to allow our family the privacy to grieve,” the statement read.

The family also thanked Mumbai Police force for their “sensitivity and compassion.” “A special thank you to the Mumbai Police force for their sensitivity and compassion. They have been like a shield, protecting us and standing by us every minute of the day!” the family noted.

Sidharth passed away at the age of 40 due to a cardiac arrest. Dr R Sukhdeve, head of the forensic department, confirmed that Shukla was brought dead on the morning of September 4. A police officer said, “The family called an ambulance and rushed to the Dr RN Cooper hospital. They reached around 9.45 am and he was declared dead before admission.”

Earlier on 5th September, Bigg Boss OTT host Karan Johar also paid a tribute to season 13’s winner Sidharth Shukla as a recap of his Bigg Boss 13 journey’s visuals were played on the screen. The filmmaker got emotional and teary-eyed while speaking about him.

“Sidharth Shukla, a face, a name that became an important part of all our lives. The favourite member of the Bigg Boss family, who was a friend to me and countless others from our industry, suddenly left us,” he said,

The filmmaker said that he was numb after hearing the news. “This is something we are all still finding hard to believe. It is like I am numb; I can’t even believe it. Sid was a good son, a great friend and just an amazing guy to be around and be with. His positive vibe and his smile, that smile, won so many millions of hearts,” he added.

Karan further said that Sidharth Shukla’s crores of fans were proof that he was a lovable person. “You shall be missed, Sidharth Shukla. We will miss you.” Addressing the audience, he said, “You and I, we all need great strength to carry on the show. But the show must go on,” adding that it was what Sidharth Shukla would have wanted too.
