A total of 17 Jaguars will roar above Rajpath in the nation’s capital this Republic Day aboard the largest aircraft comprising 75 Air Force, Army and Navy aircraft. This year, the MiG 29K and P 8i will come out while we will miss Tejas.

The biggest ever parade will take place on Rajpath during the Republic Day Parade with 75 aircraft including IAF, Army and Navy aircraft.” This is a part of the ‘Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav’ celebration, said Indian Air Force Wing Commander Indranil Nandi.

The officer said that the five Rafales will also fly over Rajpath in the “Vinaash” formation. The Navy’s MiG 29K and P8I surveillance aircraft will fly in the “Varuna” formation. Rafale will be seen in three shapes. The Vinash lineup will have five Rafale jets, the Baaz lineup will have one Rafale, flanked by two Jaguars, a Su 30 and two Mig 29s.

A single Rafale Jet will perform Vertical Charlie in the “Vijay” lineup. The flyer will recall the memories of the 1971 war and at the same time will showcase India’s modern aviation capabilities between the three forces. Flypast will be divided into two phases. The first time before the parade and the second time after the marching army will pass through the Rajpath.
