While many productions gave OTT release to their films considering the COVID situation in India, Akshay Kumar and the team of Bell Bottom decided that they will release their film on cinema halls. Earlier the date of July 27, 2021 was announced for the film’s release however the date has been pushed owing to the circumstances.

However the film’s distributor and Pen Studios founder Jayantilal Gada has confirmed that the film produced by Vashu and Jackky Bhagnani will arrive in theatres. “Bell Bottom will be the first Hindi film to hit the theatres. There might be a delay, but it is for sure that this will be the first film to come and I can assure that Indian theatres will reopen with the partnership of Vashu Bhagnani and Pen Studios,” he confirms.

Earlier there were reports of Bell Bottom getting 3D release in theatres and now Gada has confirmed that too. “Bell Bottom was made in 3D only and it will give a uniqueness and fresh perspective to the film. It looks amazing in 3D. When the world reopens, we will have to compete with the international content. There is so much content being made on TV and the digital medium, so why would people go back to theatres? To ensure that, we will have to bring quality films with unique ideas to the theatre,” he explains.

Talking about his other projects, Gada promised that all their films will release on theatres only. “We have in total 11 films under our studios and all of them will come in theatres only. First will be Bell Bottom, and after watching the reception it gets, we will decide on the dates of the other films. Our stars are created in theatres, not on digital,” he concludes.
