Kannada superstar Puneeth Rajkumar’s untimely demise was a huge shock for all his admirers. The Power Star is an icon in Karnataka and has many fans from all age groups. Puneeth Rajkumar died on October 29 after suffering a heart attack. He breathed his last at Vikram Hospital in Bengaluru at the age of 46. Puneeth is survived by his wife, Ashwini Revanth, and two daughters, Drithi and Vandhitha.
The actor was cremated with full state honours on October 31 by the Karnataka government. He was laid to rest at Bengaluru’s Kanteerava Studios next to his parents, Dr Rajkumar and Parvathamma’s resting place.
Ever since then over 30,000 fans have been visiting his memorial every day. Around 300 police officials, including Karnataka State Reserve Police (KSRP) and Bengaluru city police, have been deployed at the Kanteerava Studios every day for 12-hour shifts. Superstar’s fans have been coming from various parts of the state to pay their last respects to him.
