At a recent promotional event for ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ in Mumbai, Deepika Padukone charmed fans not only with her graceful pregnancy appearance but also with her witty banter alongside co-star Prabhas. In a candid moment captured during a conversation with host Rana Daggubati, Deepika jokingly attributed her bump to the copious amounts of food Prabhas lovingly fed her on set. “Actually, I am like this because of all the food he has fed me,” quipped Deepika, leaving Prabhas in stitches.
Reflecting on their camaraderie on the Nag Ashwin-directed sci-fi drama, Deepika praised Prabhas’ hospitality, revealing how he made sure everyone on set was well-fed. “Courtesy Prabhas, we had food every day. It got to a point where it wasn’t just food from home but a catering service,” she shared. Deepika emphasized, “The highlight of the day almost became what is Prabhas feeding everyone. Those who know him well know that ‘he feeds from the heart.'”
In ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, Deepika Padukone portrays a pregnant woman navigating a post-apocalyptic world alongside Prabhas, who plays the role of the bounty hunter Bhairava. This highly anticipated multilingual film, set against a futuristic backdrop inspired by Indian mythology, also stars Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan. Directed by Nag Ashwin and produced by Vyjayanthi Movies, the epic is slated for release on June 27 across various languages including Hindi.
