Rumours are circulating that Hollywood star Johnny Depp, who has been recently made headlines for his libel lawsuit against his ex-wife and actress Amber Heard, has been presented a whopping USD 301 million deal by Disney to reprise his iconic character, Captain Jack Sparrow, in the ‘Pirates Of The Caribbean’ franchise.

Numerous publications have also claimed that, in accordance with their sources, Disney has also sent the star an apology letter. The news hasn’t yet been confirmed by the actor or Disney, though.

The information was released by Poptopic.com, an entertainment news website. According to the Australian pop-culture gossip site, “Disney has offered Depp a USD 301 million contract deal to come back as Jack Sparrow in an another Pirates film and a Disney Plus series!”

According to Poptopic.com, a reliable source close to the company stated, “Disney is eager to repair their relation with Johnny Depp. Prior to his defamation trial against Amber Heard, they contacted the actor and inquired about his interest in returning for one or more additional Pirates movies.”

According to the sources, Disney is even willing to go above and beyond this agreement to recast Depp as Jack Sparrow.

The Disney insider went on to say, “The US$301 million deal that Disney is negotiating will give a sizeable donation to the charity of Depp’s choice. According to the agreement, Johnny Depp will reprise his role as Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean 6 as well as a spin-off Disney Plus series about the Captain of The Black Pearl’s early years.”

It’s interesting to note that the reported sum of USD 301 million is only a million more than what Amber Heard’s attorney, Elaine Charlson Bredehoft, stated during the defamation trial.
