Since last year many filmmakers had to give OTT release to their films which were originally made for theatre due to COVID-19 and national lockdown. Recently the news that Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Pandey starrer film Liger was taking the OTT route was going around on social media. However Vijay Deverakonda has called these rumours fake.

Deverakonda took to his Twitter handle to refute the reports in a cheeky way. He shared a collage featuring Liger posters that had the text “Liger received a huge OTT offer of Rs 200 cr for its direct digital release and the satellite rights in all languages.” “Too little I’ll do more in the theaters.” He captioned the photo

Liger which is being shot in Telugu and Hindi is jointly produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Puri Connects. It features Vijay Deverakonda as a kickboxer with a stutter. Vijay, who attained pan-India fame with Arjun Reddy in 2017, will make his debut into Bollywood with Liger.

Liger also stars Ramya Krishnan, Ronit Roy, Makarand Deshpande and Getup Srinu. It will release in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam.
